MORE OF SUMMER'S END ...
Scenes from the day sail DH and I took the other day by Cyclops Rocks between Catania and Acireale... these guys are fishing... it is fairly common in the Med to row standing up...
I grew up in southern California and that's what I learned as well. But my grandparents were teachers in both Greece and Turkey both before and after WWI -- in both areas, standing while rowing was the norm....especially while fishing. It must be a Med-thing. Thank you for visiting, Holly
Looks like a fun boat ride as long as it doesn't tip over! The rule over here has always been to SIT down in the boat.
